A fundamental part of the ALPS Programme is the creation of generic assessment tools for use in practice. The assessment tools are mapped to three identified Common Competences; Communication, Team Working and Ethical Practice.
Across multiple health and social care professions, these tools allow students to gather feedback from both practice assessors from their own profession and other occupations, supporting the development of interprofessional collaboration. The tools include sections on self assessment, interprofessional peer and practice assessor assessment and where appropriate, service user and carer assessment.
Currently the tools are undergoing an evaluation process, the results of which will be presented at the next ALT-C conference.
The creation, distribution, compilation and storage of the assessment tools are provided through the ALPS Assessment Suite, supported by the ALPS Mobile Services Platform. |
