1. Responsibility for developing and enhancing the role of service users and carers in assessment and learning in practice settings through the Service User and Carer Working Group Operational Plan.
2. Take forward, through advising and overseeing service user and carer involvement through partner sites in ALPS. With sustainable links after the lifetime of ALPS.
3. Liaise with representatives Partner Site Implementation Groups (and other ALPS Groups where appropriate) to disseminate the work of the Group.
4. Monitor and advise ALPS on appropriate membership of its Groups in order with current best practice through the JMG.
5. Recommendations on the above to be forwarded to the Joint Management Group for their approval.
6. Help identify a network of influential individuals and organisations to ensure they are aware of ALPS and its activities
7. Liaise with other professional organisations to promote the activities of ALPS
8. Build links and access developed networks with the NHS Yorkshire and the Humber
