Terms of Reference

  1. To continue to develop the vision for the use of mobile technologies to deliver best practice in assessment and learning in practice settings.
  2. To manage the opportunities and risks in the use of mobile technologies.
  3. To recommend requirements for hardware, software, training and processes to help deliver the vision for, manage the risks of and exploit the opportunities for the use of mobile technologies.
  4. To support ALPS partners overseeing and coordinating the implementation of mobile technologies.
  5. To raise awareness of the impact of use of mobile technologies on individual organizations and amongst ALPS Partners and promote collaboration with ALPS partner’s and local health and social care IT services.
  6. To raise awareness of and disseminate ALPS achievements in the use of mobile technologies in Education.
  7. To develop a shared support service model.
  8. To facilitate embedding the mobile technology infrastructure within the ALPS Higher Education partners and liaise with corporate IT services.
  9. To contribute to the programme of research by supporting the ALPS Research Group and to work closely with the e-valuation group.
  10. To evaluate the information technology aspects and organizational impact (IT services and infrastructure) of the use of mobile technologies.
